ST. PAUL'S COLLEGE MBALE (SPACOM)

St. Paul’s College Mbale Started as St. Paul's College Farm along with the school, was founded by a Dutch Catholic Priest in 1950.
Fr.Leonard Van Der Salm, a Mill Hill Missionary was an accomplished Farmer with vast knowledge in, and zeal for, dairy farming.
For 30 years with him at the helm, he developed a model farm and, a major supplier of milk in Mbale. A section of the land was used for crop farming too.
It served to teach agriculture to people around. This he did through both practical lessons and duty allocation for students in farm work, and demonstration programs for out of school persons.
The school kept to that focus to the post independence times (1962-1965) when the national drive in education was to increase Secondary Education to Train manpower to replace the departing white civil servants.
So from 1965 to date the school took up a general Secondary School Curriculum. Agriculture however remained a key subject for many Students at both Lower and Upper Secondary.

Dear Family and Friends,
Welcome to the St Paul’s College Mbale website. This channel of contact among us is long overdue. But better late than never. Earlier attempts of establishing one have not been successful for one reason or another. We hope this is here to stay and be your constant source of information and channel of interaction for the greater benefit of our common family. My gratitude goes to our ICT department for the hot pursuit of this program which we launch today, 28th June 2025, as we celebrate our Family Day. At the same time we are also launching our comprehensive SMIS package to serve purposes beyond mere academic report making. Parents and stakeholders will be able to log in and directly receive information, particularly in relation to their individual children, and/or the official communication from the school. These two form a milestone in our school system. Once more, welcome aboard. Please, join in as we match to the climax of our Platinum Jubilee in 2027.....Learn More

Administration

Our School Administrators

At St. Paul's College Mbale, Our staff are supported in different ways ranging welfare to capacity building. There is a Vietnamese Quote: “If you want to go through the river, you need to build the bridge; if you want your children to learn well, you must love their teacher.”
Besides family, teachers are the ones who guide and teach us to become a good person. It can be said that teachers are like boatmen, while we are like participants sitting on that boat, teachers always support and encourage students’ dreams to fly away.
Therefore, to keep this tradition of “Respect the religion”, annually, Uganda organizes a Teacher’s Day to show their respect to all teachers on October 05th.
